This event has already occurred
Church is supposed to be one of the safest places in the world. The people who make up The Church have been commissioned to love one another and reflect the heart of Jesus. But that doesn’t always happen. Many have suffered emotional and spiritual wounds at the hands, words, and actions of The Church. Often after being wounded, those who’ve been hurt are told that God is on the “side” of the offender. The result has been churches and communities that are full of emotionally and spiritually devastated people who are unsure of how to heal from the hurt and trauma they’ve experienced.
Join us for an evening of giving acknowledgement and honor to the hurts, wounds, and trauma that have happened within the context of The Church. The Refuge of Hope team will lead times of worship through song and times of personal ministry in order to facilitate a space that invites the Holy Spirit to heal us of the wounds, hurt, and trauma from which we desperately want to be healed.
